Base pay - HR Glossary

The base pay is the minimal compensation that a corporation pays for a certain work position, which is often calculated by comparing it to the incomes of comparable positions in the industry and labor market. This pay excludes bonuses and allowances.

Example

If a firm gives its salespeople a basic wage of 10 million VND, all of them will receive at least 10 million VND every month. However, certain persons will have larger salary due to additional bonuses or allowances.
