Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) - HR Glossary
An AAP, or affirmative action plan, is a thorough and organized document created by businesses, mostly in the HR department, to encourage inclusion, equity, and diversity in the workforce. AAPs describe plans and programs designed to address past and present discrimination, guarantee equal opportunities, and promote diversity in the workplace.

A technological business adopts an AAP with specific goals and activities, such focused recruiting efforts, mentorship programs, and leadership development opportunities for female workers, in response to the underrepresentation of women in senior roles.
