Contract labor refers to an employee that is employed on a temporary basis and only works for a limited time for an organization.

Example

A corporation wishes to develop a fresh batch of items and need more workers for a brief duration. Instead of recruiting more staff, one firm chose to engage a group of seasonal workers to work for a set length of time. These individuals are employed on temporary contracts and only work for that time period.
